Project X-MAS

My current project is to get fast. And this is my test. The Santa to the Sea 13.1 running race is the perfect opportunity to go fast. As you can see from the elevation profile, it is basically a flat run, actually slightly downhill. It's held in December in Southern California which is great for weather. AND IT'S AT SEA LEVEL! Wow. If I can't go fast here where can I?

This past May I thought I ran well at the Pittsburgh Half Marathon. I stuck to my plan, came in under goal time, and ran a negative split. 1:34 and change was the outcome. I have very similar goals for this race with one exception. I want to go faster.
